Social membership is available to adults aged 21 or over. Social members may assist in rescue duties, but their other water borne activities are restricted to trials as crew up to 3 times per year.

To qualify for any age restricted membership classes, you must be within the age limit at the time of application or at the time where any membership renewal is due.

Procedures for Applying for Membership

  • Any prospective new members may receive an application pack from the clubhouse or by contacting the membership secretary. The applicant must complete the application form and return it to the membership secretary with the correct remittance.
  • The membership application must be acknowledged by the Membership Secretary before the club facilities can be used.  For constitutional reasons, a minimum of two weeks must pass between receipt of the application and the acknowledgement.
  • On receipt of an application, details of the applicant will be posted within the clubhouse.  Any member who wishes to raise any objection to an application must do so in writing to the management committee.  
  • The management committee will review all applications at the first committee meeting following receipt of the application.
  • If any objection is upheld, the management committee may select not to accept an application.
  • The management committee will not be obliged to enter into any discussions regarding their reasons for not accepting and application.
