The DBSC Rescue FleetManned almost entirely by volunteers from the membership DBSC operates one of the largest Club Rescue Fleets on the Forth. This allows us not only to provide efficient and professional Safety Boat cover for our water based activities but also means we are able run different events simultaneously. Our Rescue Fleet consists of 5 Ribs and a single displacement craft as described below:
We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to assist the Rescue Fleet, if are interested in becoming part of the Safety Boat Team please contact the Training Team. We wish to actively encourage Junior Members to become involved in powerboating within the club. However in order to ensure that juniors are encouraged in a safe, sensible and controlled manner it has been necessary to impose certain restrictions on the level of their participation. These restrictions are laid out in the DBSC Junior Powerboating Policy. Any Junior Member who is interested in powerboating at DBSC should get their parent or guardian to contact the Training Team. |
